August 7, 2009: Wolfeboro, NH: The Kingswood Lancers Jake Marotta, a veteran out of Crescent Lake Elementary was placed on injured reserve status, due to a broken finger Tuesday. Doctors say he will be out for the season, but they expect a full recovery. The Lancers will truly miss him this season, and wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to the lineup next season.
 

5^th grade game Kingswood over Concord: 32-6.

The 5^th grade team was overpowering in their season opener against what has in the past been a tough competitor, the Concord Capitols. Head Coach Bobby Roakes was especially pleased with his defense, which scored a safety in the game. This 19 member squad is light in numbers, but strong in spirit, and the first year players were impressive in this first win. They are a team to watch and coaches Bobbie Roakes, Scott Franklin, Eric Scott and Lonnie Franklin are optimistic, looking forward to a strong season.
